CODE OF ETHICS
It will be incumbent upon members to acknowledge and comply with the following Code of Ethics wherein the term "caller" is deemed to include: cuer, prompter, & teacher and/or leader where applicable.
(a) Always act and dress in a way that reflects credit on the dancing in which you are engaging, and conduct yourself with professional sincerity and integrity.
(b) Refrain from the use of intoxicating liquor or drugs before or during a dance function.
(c) Except in extreme emergencies, keep all scheduled engagements.
(d) Ensure that a suitable decorum is observed at all dance functions.
(e) Strive to promote good fellowship among your fellow callers, and maintain a friendly and professional attitude towards them.
(f) Give every possible assistance to trainee callers and cooperate with fellow callers in the free exchange of material and helpful ideas.
(g) Adhere to the accepted and standardised forms of terminology, styling, and practices in dancing and do everything possible to promote their development.
(h) Never enter into active competition with another caller.
(I) Do not publicly criticise another caller or take sides in public argument concerning callers or dancers.
(j) Start your club with new dancers. Do not take dancers from an established caller, but continue to promote regularly.
(k) Always maintain your level of choreography within that of the advertised program.
(l) When an account of calling experience, ability, and background is required for purposes such as programming and accreditation, ensure that an accurate and truly representative account is given.
(m) Always adhere to the requirements of copyright in the music, notes and documents used.
